Hi,

I don't want to argue with anybody but i can't stop myself to tell these
things.. In Borland newsgroups there is a lots of topics about Indy's
problems.. Most of them didn't replied by Indy Team, because these problems
keeping secret !! For example a couple of them are below.. I want to know
why they don't examine if it's a real bug or not and if so why they don't
fix the problems ?? If it'll continue like this, Indy will lose the
confidence of their users.. Personally i really like to use Indy. It's a
really large useful component set but have some problems. For example
IdIPMCastClient and Server is the best multicast component set but i have
the same problems too.. What should i do now ? How can i fix that problem ?
By myself ??

Kind Regards,

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

I have the same problem with the message below and the additional one..

How can i handle this exception ?? (Socket Error #10049 Cannot assign
requested address..)  Is there any way ?

And my second problem is with the Win9X  machines..  When i run my client
app in Win9X machines, i'm getting an error "Exception EIdSocketError in
module Project1.exe at 0005045C Socket Error #10042 Bad Protocol Option".
What is the problem ? What should i do to fix it ?

Cheers..

Hi,

I'm using a TIdIPMCastClient.

I know TIdIPMCastClient can not be set to active if the computer is not
connected to a network. OKay, but there is a problem :

If the computer deconnects from the network while IdIPMCastClient.Active
was already set to true there is no way to set IdIPMCastClient.active to
false after that !

When I try to set IdIPMCastClient.active:=false, there is an exception :
Socket Error #10049 - cannot assign requested address.

The bigger problem is that even if the computer reconnects to the
network, after the first exception, all is messed up, and there is no
way to reset the TIdIPMCastClient after that.

So, Is there a way to set IdIPMCastClient.active to false if there is no
longer connexion to the network ?
