Which version of Indy are you actually using? If Indy 9, then Connect() has
an ATimeout parameter, which you are currently not specifying. Connection
timeouts were not available in Indy 8.

Are you using the version of Indy that shipped with BCB6? If so, then BCB6
shipped with Indy 8, which is very outdated. You need to go to
http://www.indyproject.org to download the latest version.
