Just put a server and a client on each application, then to send peer to
peer, just connect to the other peers server.
You will probably need some kind of user directory where you can store
everyones IP address when they logon, then just pull the IP from the user
directory and send directly.
If the direct send fails you can then try and relay from the main logon/user
directory server, then if that fails store the transmission on the server
and the next time the user logons inform them they have a offline message
waiting. It's not difficult, just start small and build in the features you
