I need to maintain a list of connected users so that I can communicate
back to them. Using an IP address is not a good way to communicate
since my users could be connecting via a Proxy or Nat. Is there some
type of session id that can be used to make sure that when I connect to
a user that I can identify one connection from another.
The application will maintain, on the server side, a list of users,
their ip address and any other unique information that identifies the
connection. We will use this list to query a database and then use a
queue system to communicate back to the users from the server.
