|Subject:||problems with dates|

I am using a TIdFTP connection to a warftp server for an automatic file
syncronization utility. I use the TIdFTPListItem.ModifiedDate property to
compare with the local file and update it if the remote version is newer.
There is an issue I dealt with when building this tool around dates older
than some number of days. The issue is that the time part of the modified
date is bogus sometimes. I can't quite remember the details, and can't
find an archive of this list. The link on the atozedsoftware web site to
the web based reader is down.
Anyway, I resolved it then by not comparing the times, just the dates if
the file is more than 120 days old. Suddenly, though, (I'm blaming the
change in year) I am getting bogus times for all files! I suspect that
the same phenomenon occurs if the file is from a different year.
I'm not sure if the problem is with the indy component or the ftp server.
I don't know where to go from here.
Need advice please!
