I seriously doubt both of those.  TIdFTP.Get() DOES NOT disconnect the
connection if the download fails, and it certainly DOES NOT free the TIdFTP
object from memory.  There has to be something else in your code that is
doing all of that.  Please show a more complete code snippet that actually
compiles.
