That is a normal error, defined in the RFCs for the FTP protocol, when
retreiving a listing of an empty directory. You can catch the exception and

Only if you are disconnecting the connection yourself. List() will not
disconnect the connection.

Nothing. It is doing exactly what it is supposed to be doing. You tried to
retreive a listing for an empty directory, so the server reported an error
as such. TdFTP received the error response and wrapped it into an exception
for your code to handle.
