I have an application that sends emails. It previously used the Delphi
NMSMTP components. The latest version now uses Indy 10 TIDSMTP. The
application allows the user to specify the host server, and optionally the
One particular client has upgraded. The old version worked OK. The new
version (using Indy 10) is receiving this error. At this stage, I am waiting
to find out what type of email server they are trying to connect to.
Google only finds one match for "garbled Base64 data", but it relates to
using SendMail with SASL. The fix was to put
"APPENDDEF(`conf_sendmail_ENVDEF',`-D_FFR_SASL_INITIAL_WORKAROUND')" in a
config file and rebuild SendMail. Is this relevant to Indy 10?
Thanks in advance for any help.
