That is going to be slow, depending on how many people you are sending to.
You can send a single message to multiple recipients at one time. Depending
on what exactly you are changing per message, you might try to consolidate
similar messages together so that you can send them in fewer batches.

That is entirely dependant on the speed of the Internet connection and the
complexity of the message itself. The message data is generated dynamically
as it is being sent.
