To do what exactly?  Just like the client components, the server components
create their own IOHandler objects internally if you don't provide your own
manually.

If you are referring to the TIdTCPServer.IOHandler property specifically,
that is merely a way for you to automate the creation of your own customized
IOHandler objects upon client connection before the OnConnect event is
triggered.  Or you can wait until the OnConnect event is triggered and
replace the default IOHandler for the new connection with your own at that
point.
